So I've been weakened for the past few months with a failing thyroid from Hashimoto's and recently diagnosed mycoplasma pneumoniae, which my llmd suspects has been lingering here for a little while.
The thyroid is improving with meds, and for the mycoplasma pneumoniae, he wants me to start Sovereign Silver, a colloidal silver product.
I've also had a candida overgrowth during these past few months, and so I think he's going for colloidal silver as to not put me on more abx for the yeast symptoms.
They're recommending I take 2 teaspoons a day of the silver, one at lunch time, and one at night.
Do you think this will help the mycoplasma situation? More importantly, what about the candida? Will the silver help the candida or will the abx properties of the silver make the candida worse? Is two teaspoons per day enough to be taking or is too much?
Thanks so much in advance for your reply, and Happy Holidays, everyone.
Marc

skimpbiz,
I use colloidal silver and I have mycoplasma p. My doctor has me on 1 tbsp daily. I also use it externally as needed. I'm not sure if it is doing anything for the myco.
As for the thrush in mouth. I have a better suggestion. This was my experience. Swishing colloidal silver in my mouth daily did nothing to stop periodontal issues and yeast in mouth. I was so stunned when the dentist put a sample from my gumline on the microscope and showed me the large amount of bacteria in my mouth.
He cleaned up my mouth with a very deep teeth cleaning procedure. Later I learned about brushing my teeth with 1/2 hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 betadine solution mixed together. This worked VERY WELL. Anytime a tooth flares up, I just on this protocol and tooth quiets down within a day. After first using this, my next LLMD visit, she examined my mouth for yeast and for the first time declared me clear of yeast in the mouth. She was elated. I told her about the solution and she heartily agreed with it.
I believe this to be better than the CS for mouth disinfecting. When you brush with it, hold it in your mouth for a couple of minutes swishing it around and gargling with it. Don't swallow it. Rinse thoroughly. At first do daily for one week then once a week for maintenance.
