My LLMD has prescribed these two meds together -- he says that, despite the information in Dr. B's guidelines to the contrary, the medicines do not counteract each other.

Since I had good results on some symptoms on Amox and on other symptoms on Doxy, he proposed taking both.

Does anyone have experience taking these at the same time?

I got good results from taking Doxy and Amox.

My favorite combo out of everything I have taken.

My husband is taking both right now as well, along with malarone and many supplements.

That cocktail was my second round of abx. I asked the same question to my LLMD and pharmacist and they both said it was ok. I herxed like hell so I guess that was a good thing.

Thanks so much for your responses! Did any of you on this combination take Probenecid too, in order to keep the Amoxicillin in the system for longer?
