I had posted a question before about taking these two together. Drugs.com indicates that taken together, Doxy may cancel out the effects of Amox (especially at low doses). Burrascano's guidelines indicate the same.

My LLMD indicated that they can be taken together and that the interaction is not really much at all. However, I'm concerned that I'm loading up on antibiotics for no good effect. Does anyone have any knowledge of whether the two drugs (at Lyme-high doses) should not be taken together? Any insights you may have would be appreciated. Thanks!

My LLMD told me to take doxy and amoxy together. I will only start tomorrow. I think he was not
aware of this problem.
He told me that I have to watch for C diff.

Sunny,
what can we do? I decided to only take amoxy and after some days only doxy.. and change again after a week.
Where can we get better information?

I took both at the same time and did just fine with it.

It was a good combo for me.
