I'm right there with ya.

The worst part is when someone says, "Well, look what you're going through." Like that's the reason not to pursue the diagnosis.

Then I feel like a complete idiot, because on some levels, it IS harder once you get the diagnosis.

THis is hard; I"ve been there way too many times. It's painful to watch those we love suffer, because they won't listen or make a change. But at a certain point there is nothing you can do.

And, Boxermom, ain't that that truth!

It's like trading it all in for the short-term, and I think most of us can agree that we're doing this for the long haul.

But, that's how we feel, and we have to respect everyone's choices. You could ask him how he would approach his treatment if he knew Lyme or another bacterial-like cause was behind his symptoms. If you see no interest, there's not much you can do.

BM's got a great point too. One that I've heard before. Who's really the fool in the end? =)

You can lead a Lymie horse to water but... You can't make it see an LLMD.

I'm sorry.

My father in law started a downhill slide with Bells ... and 5 years later the downward spiral continues. All I can do is watch and be sympathetic as they send him for more doc appts and tests and treatments that don't work... all of them sounding much like what I went through prior to being diagnosed. It is so frustrating to see someone we love go through this! I have given up on the Lyme talk - it goes unheard.

They have to make the choices that make sense for them.
