Basically, this article suggests how supplementing with only 1 of these essential minerals can cause more problems, and why it's important to have a balance.
I personally have tried using Iodine, and felt worse than I was without it. This would suggest, based on the article, that using Selenium in conjunction could improve my thyroid function.
P.S. It also has some discussion about Hashimoto's and Graves thyroid disorders.

This is very interesting; thanks for posting it.
I'm supplementing with Selenium, but not with Iodine. Recently was found to have a right-sided enlarged thyroid lobe and, after reading about iodine deficiency and enlargements in that article, am definitely going to check more into it.

My Biological doctor recently put me on Iodine drops and Selenium together. Was wondering why he did that, now I know.
