My daughter had one last year, but I can't remember...are there any special preparations that she needs to do? Can she eat, drink caffeine, or take her meds before the scan? Thanks.

This question is best asked of the doctor who ordered the scan, and also you might contact the place doing the scan to find out if there are any pre-test instructions.
That said, I wouldn't intake caffeine before the test because I know that messes with circulation...
