I respond amazingly (greater cognition/focus/concentration, less fatigue) to very low doses of nuvigil (even <10 mg) which makes me believe that I have impeded cerebral blood flow.
besides nuvigil and maybe ginko, what are good ways to try to resolve this symptom in the long term? Exercise? I'm also on a low-gluten/almost GF diet.
Thanks,
Stork

Looking back through messages about nuvigil - this is still the case for me. I think it's because of low dopamine levels resulting from lyme neurotoxins. Nuvigil is a dopamine reuptake inhibitor.

I should try to keep diary of days and symptoms , but if I bring to much info/questions, I don't want to overwhelm him. I just want to be better.

Do you not have a crash when you come off Nuvigil? I respond to it well at first, then I crash and it's terrible. Although, I think the pharmaceutical says it isn't a stimulant, maybe just "stimulantl-like" it feels like a stimulant to me so I wonder if it's good over the long term.... I wish it were a miracle pill but so far that has not been the case for me. I know some people who use it in emergencies when they need to get stuff done...

Yeah, I've just noticed the crash this week. My thoughts are that maybe that's a result of the dopamine re-uptake aspect.
Do people experience a similar crash with Provigil? Or with Adderall?
Not as well as I'd like to be. Seems always to be two steps forward, one step back. I think Eleuthero might be the best stimulant I've tried - it's also anti-bacterial and natural. No real crash. Got this from Buhner's book which has been a relative god send.
