Hi Everyone: I was taking Mepron along with

Rifampin for about 5 months. Mepron was pulled

last week. I also began taking Bolouke as I had

been feeling some of my bart symptoms come back-

foot pain etc. Now, I have the chills fairly

often but no night sweats or sweating (I had had

terrible night sweats with Babs) and I also just

feel very fluish and almost "high". I had some

leg muscle twitching and bad foot neuropathy--

pretty much an hour to a few hours after meds.

I wanted to get your opinion if this sounds like Babs at all or the Bart just being hit harder hopefully. I am also on A Bart, A bab and Lyme drops as well.

I don't know what I would do without this board! Thanks everyone!

I have foot pain related to babs-it's like a throbbing type. Twitching, neuro stuff sounds like bart

Thanks Beth. Sometimes my feet also throb. I have never had the pain in the morning- notorious for Bart.

The good news is- tonight I feel like I have my brain back after not having it for at least a solid week since we pulled the mepron. Maybe my body is in the adjustment trying to take over... gosh knows it needs to-

Thanks again...

Rifampin reduces the serum levels of Mepron so it is usually never given together. Look up interactions on drugs.com

Mepron is so expensive it is a shame to make it less effective. So the Mepron was probably not doing it's job and you are still infected.

Gosh Neff: I hope you are not right... rather I pray you are not right... I had such bad babs and bart that they added the rifampin to Mepron knowing the compromising that would happen. I still have no night sweats so will see. I pray they do not return. I am also doing byron white so maybe that will be enough... fingers crossed...
