The following post was deleted. May I ask for what reason? Are links to treatment not allowed either? Why did Lou not post anything about treatment (other than in heading) in his rule? There should be some justification. People look to to this site for treatment advice??? If everything get's PMed there won't be any use for medical questions here.

Meds are being posted here all the time and in fact are in some signatures...
IMO this is going to create alot of work for the moderators to monitor everyone that lists what meds they're on. Especially if those posts are being reported.
The post that was made involved herbal regimens, which seems a little ridiculous to me that it would be deleted.

When meds are posted in signatures, we ask the poster to delete the dosages. The posts do get reported that have meds and dosages and we remove dosages.
I think herbal protocols are okay, but I think it's better when they're not tied to a doctor. Also, I think a thread asking for a specific doctor's protocol is inappropriate given the rules.

Thanks, Lou... and I have read the rules.. but I don't understand how a doctor can be persecuted if his name isn't being used. This is about treatment protocols. Especially herbal treatment protocols.

lulu,
If this will help...
We've had patients here, without the benefit of doctors oversight, try to treat themselves based on one person's protocol or a doctor's published protocol. History, prior conditions, age, allergies, etc were never taken into account.
If that wasn't bad enough, I've seen mothers attempting to treat their child with prescription medications and supplements without a doctor involved at all.
They depended on posts found on a Lyme chat room (LymeNet) to guess what disease the child might have and how to treat it.

- It often is VERY EASY to figure out which dr someone is seeing and they are posting their dr's protocol. That puts the dr at risk.

Tincup, sometimes we don't have the benefit of seeing a good LLMD and have to resort to seeking advice off this website. Unfortunate but true. I'm sure it happens more often than not.

Lulu .. you found out that you can Google to find what you need. So can everyone else.

Well good luck monitoring all those that are disclosing their dosing of herbals and abx. It will still be possible to figure out who is perscribing those treatments and this system is still highly flawed.
As long as people are putting out dosing information you will never be on top of it.
In fact Lymetoo you just put out the dosing info on turmeric in your other post. People will still help themselves to that information whether it's perscribed by a doctor or not.
