For the past year or so, I have had neck pain while on Lyme, Bart and Babs treatment. It has been kicked up a notch.
I am on a pretty heavy abx regimen including Bicillin IM shots, malerone, minocycline, plaquenil and levaquin- nystatin as well and valtrex for my viral load.
My knees had started swelling and that is why they put me on bicillin. They have quit swelling but the neck pain is unrelenting seemingly and I had an xray today and the doc said degenerative arthritis in my neck area. My guess is that this is Lyme as I get stiff etc. I had a slight neck issue when I first started three years ago but this is the one symptom that is REALLY rearing its head ... when the coinfections seem to be beaten down.
I have a phone consult Wednesday afternoon. I am having my local doc fax the info from the xray etc today. Any suggestions on what might kick this neck issue which I do think is lyme...
Thanks SOOOOOO much... You all have helped me immensely!

The only med that has helped my neck pain and stiffness so far is doxy, long term.

I always know when my Lyme is active by the back of the neck pain. I think it lives there. I used to have a lot of neck creaking and crackling, too.
Treat the Lyme and you'll treat the pain.
