Saw LLMD yesterday for one month checkup. Had been taking high dose doxy - had some fun herxing (headache, joint pain, moody, tired) that always dissipated. But didn't really do too much to make me feel any better.
So, LLMD wrote script for Ceftin to replace the doxy. Took first Ceftin last night, and after an hour or so starting feeling sort of itchy/skin crawling sensation. Went to sleep, woke up periodically through the night feeling itchy, got up this morning, feeling more itchy/skin crawling. No sign of any irritation or rash. Did not take the next dose of Ceftin.
Could this be an allergic reaction? I've taken amoxicillin and omnicef in the past, but not ceftin.
Not taking another Ceftin until I hear back from LLMD.

I had this reaction from doxy. LLMD said it was prob an allegic reaction and took me off it and everthing for 10 days. then started something different (ceftin) which I am on still. good luck.
