Hi All: I am headed to a drs office visit in about two weeks and I am curious of any great med combos for Lyme.
I am on bicillin shots, doryx, rifampin, plaquenil and the neck pain keeps on hanging on.
I did take a bit of teasel and have started that and it seems to be helping the neck pain. My guess is the bugs are used to what I am on and continue to progress so we will probably need to switch things up.
I have not done a sulfa drug for any length of time? Any great combos to kick Lyme in the pants would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Doxy + metronidazole (flagyl) is a classic combo, and is often quite effective.
I had all three B's and have been able to live reasonably well for the 30 months. I was only diagnosed with babesia a month or so ago, and can say that while life was better with the abx I was on, I couldn't get well.
My current LLMD added mepron for the babs and doubled the dose of cipro. The die-off is horrible at the moment, but I take that to be a good thing.
The moral of the story is that if you don't treat all the co-infections the untreated ones beat up enough on your immune system that you can't get well.

Thanks Tickbitt... I am thinking I am going to have to try drugs I have never tried.
I am on doxy (doryx) and tindemax now.
It seems we have beaten the cos down enough that Lyme is having its time in the spotlight argh!
Continued success for you... You have that moral right... Blessings

Sometimes you need to just change it up to something different. I wonder if the lyme spirochetes learn how to evade (after a while) or become immune to whatever drug we're on.
I get mine changed about every four months(seem to plateau around then so changing usually gives me a bad herx right when I start the new drug/combo).
