I'm wondering what's causing my high blood pressure. When I began treating two years ago, my blood pressure was normal.
During heavy duty babesia treatment, my blood pressure was elevated, but not enough to be concerned. It hit the roof with Rifampin, and ultimately was unable to tolerate this drug. Now I'm treating parasites with enzymes and Zymex II.
My LLMD has given me a light BP medicine, lisinopril. It works for a while, and then my BP starts to rise again. She raises the dose, and it works for a while and then once again it is elevated. It's like my body is finding a way around it.
Can anyone give me their thoughts as to what might be the cause? Is it parasites? Do long-term antibiotics cause this? Is my body fighting off releasing cellular debris? My LLMD is of no help. I feel it is somehow tied to treatment, but I don't know or understand how...

I have had giardia twice in the last year and did not have high blood pressure either time from it.
I know that there are many different types of parasites so it may be possible that it could be from that.
Right now I am doing a parasite cleanse from Renee Ponder which I really like.
Do you know what parasites you have?

Rifampin can decrease the effectiveness of blood pressure meds. So perhaps that was the cause when you were on Rifampin. There was also a warning if you had adrenal or liver or bile duct issues.
Antibiotics like Rifampin also futher deplete your magnesium levels, which in turn will increase your BP.
I'm not sure how digestive enzymes treat parasites exactly. Been taking bromelain for years now

I wasn't taking any BP meds during Rifampin. It wasn't until after Rifampin that I started to have higher BP, and just recently was given BP meds. Rifampin was intolerable and clearly may have contributed to some of this distress.
I don't know what parasite I'm treating. I energy tested positive for needing Zymex II.
I don't know if this has any relevance, but just recently was Asyra tested, and showed deficiencies in inositol, choline and potassium. I'm supplementing with Metagenics Lipo-Gen.

Biofilm causing CCSVI. The same amount of blood trying to flow through narrowing areas. That is what caused my very irregular blood pressure.
I no longer have an active infection and have not had one for several years, but when scanned for CCSVI, I had 5 of the major supply blood routes blocked due to biofilm.
My blood pressure was scyrocketing hi - low - until I did the CCSVI intervention to remove the blockages caused by the biofilm. Now my blood pressure is slowly normalizing.
Dr. K. follows my treatment, and I plan to have the scanning done again soon.
Major bp fluctuations and severe swelling of ankles and legs, none of which I ever had before, even under the most intensive treatments, caused me to do the CCSVI scanning.
Think physics. If the sink is blocked with garbage, the water has trouble flowing. The body also is limited to get rid of any toxins when the blood can't reach certain areas.
My blood pressure is not irregular, just on the high side. In the beginning of treatment, my left ankle was swollen 1/2" more than my right, however, it resolved with babesia treatment. The only swelling left in my feet is a little bump of fluid on my ankle, but it is hardly noticeable.
Clearly, I have biofilm, although my Fry smear showed few biofilm, and I've done many things for blood thinning and biofilm busting throughout treatment, including detoxamin. Is detoxamin something that could help with the blockage that you describe?
I am nearing the end of treatment (hopefully), and have wondered why the high blood pressure exists if the bugs have been minimized. I kind of expected it to go away. From what I understand Gigi, it's the biofilm that's left coating the epithelial walls - is that correct?
I've spoken with Dr. Ellis at Fry Labs about this issue, and they know that the protozoa that resides in biofilm adheres to the epithelial walls. They can't comment too much, but there is a correlation between this and high blood pressure.

It is funny you mentioned the FL1953.The only time I ever had a High blood presure was after I came out of the hospital.
I have fully blown Fry bug and babesia and needed blood transfusion.
I did treated bartonella and was already in antibiotics that reduced bart again but did not do anything to touch Fl1953 and was only on low dosages of artmeisin.
I could not get up and was near death 1 year and 1/2 ago after the car accident.I had treated lyme in germany and bartonella but not babs and Fl1953.
I took enzymes but I never did the biaxin Plaquinil and because I had babesia my blood presure was exstremely low the past few years.
Now that I went to see the doctor after the combo Biaxin plaquinil , Cryptolepsis and Mepron after 6 months my blood work was normal from exstremly anemic and my blood preasure was not low was perfect normal.
Only when I was out of the hospital last year before the antibiotic treatment my blood preasure went up first time ever and I felt awful.Fl1953 really is contributing to that.
I reacted tremendously in Biaxin plaquinil and Interface plus I herxed like hell for 4 months straight.
