Hi Everyone,

I am trying to find out information on a conference that was held in Las Vegas sometime or all of the weekend of 3-9-12 till 3-11-12.

It sounded if it was a convention for primary physicians? But... It at least had a section devoted to chronic lyme.

I know that it had a lyme specialist speaking there, and that there were several Doctors from or around Michigan attending. I believe my Dr stated the Lyme specialist was from Missouri.

I didn't ask last wk what his name was, and the nurse this week couldn't tell me.

Ultimately I would LOVE to get a copy of a transcript of the Lyme portion. As well as details of the Lyme specialist Dr.

After my Dr attended this convention, he has started me on IM Rocephin, instead of Bicillin shots.

He explained to me that he was decreasing the dosages of the Bicillin shots because he was concerned that I might develop Steven Johnson Syndrome.

But, that the Dr at the confrence had said that Rocephin is the new drug of choice. I didn't really think that Rocephin was a new way of thinking... But more of my Dr catching up.

It was an informative session, and did alot of informing my dr about alot of Neuro lyme symptoms.... my Dr said that he thought of me throughout the workshop. I was thankful he could relate the material.

I think that the workshop renewed my Dr's hope in treating me. And has given him someone to contact to advise him in my treatment.

Currently, my Dr is only doing 1 Rocephin shot per week. Which, from what I have read is quite low... Still thinking he is under treating. Not on any other antibiotics. But, it is a start. [Smile]

Next wk I should have time to actually chat with him more, and ask about the dosing. But, would like to have some info about the conference before I do that.

Currently not treating, looking for a Dr who will work with my insurance lol.
