No. Do some searches on fructose, sucrose, they all break down into sugar in your body-- even though its not called sugar. This is why dried fruits and high carb levels are also off limits-- its the same as eating plain sugar.
Also Diet Coke is horrrrrible for detox efforts. Try out Zevia, they have it at whole foods-- made with stevia (herb), no sugar no calories, I love it :-)

- GREEN TEA is good. YOGI CHAI GREEN is my favorite.
Diet soda is very toxic to a human for many reasons, some described here:

Has anyone had a bad reaction to stevia? I cannot tolerate artificial sweeteners. I tried stevia and got the same, type of awful headache as with artificial sweeteners.

Just an FYI Zevia soda also has Erithryol in it. Doesn't bother me, but it's not 100% stevia as they lead you to believe.

yea yeast is a big problem for me, diet coke always gives me a strange buzz, not horrific, but its better then sugar so I justify it. In the end though aspartame is a nasty toxin that none of us need. Splenda was alot better for me. So I drink weight watchers diet soda with splenda, has plenty of flavor and no ill effects.
