Is there a very good quality probiotic that does not need to be refrigerated? I have teenagers that depend on their pre-filled pill boxes for their meds. It would be helpful if there was one I can store that way.
Thanks for the help.

but you can't rely on Florastor alone.

Pearls or Culterelle.. but neither are of much use. Maybe do Culterelle and then make sure they take a high potency one each day that is refrigerated.

I am using NOW acidophilus, three billion per pill. I take three pills per day along with saccharomyces. And I eat Stonyfield yogurt.

The NOW product fits into my budget and does not need refrigeration, although I keep it in the fridge.

You really should be taking 100 billion CFU's per day if you want to stay free of yeast.

I take Ortho Biotic by Ortho Molecular. I take several a day to get up to high numbers, which is pricey. However, I like that they are shelf stable, and they combine acidophilus and sacchromyces.

Theralac is guaranteed stable at room temperature for up to 30days. This is according to their website.

Room temp is usually considered approx 70degrees. So I keep an open bottle of Theralac on my shelf that I am going to use within the month (taking 2 per day). And any other un open bottles that I may have ordered in my fridge. This should keep them stable.

I have to keep a room temp bottle so that I remember to take it with my vitamins with lunch. If I don't keep it out I won't remember to take it.

Researched Nutritionals makes one that is made from soil, not dairy, so it doesn't need refrigeration at all.

I think you have to go through your doc, though.

Vitacost probiotics and s.boulardi work well for me, nearly 3 years on. They don't have to be refrigerated. I wouldn't recommend setting them atop your microwave tho...

oops.

I still say PB8 sucks. Just my personal experience. I always refrigerated mine.

As Lymetoo knows I have always been big on the product she pointed out on the upward quest link.

I have never researched it but I always found it interesting many probiotics or refrigerated yet as
soon as they hit the stomach they have to survive at body temp.
