i'm sure most of you already know this, but make sure you are taking plenty of potassium while doing bicillin injections!!!
not taking potassium put me through so much pain last month, but as soon as i started taking it, it made a world of difference!
my doctor warned me that i would need it, but i kinda just forgot and ended up in a world of a pain.
so this is just a friendly reminder to take your potassium and spare yourself for the pain i put myself through from not doing so Posts: 442 | From usa | Registered: Oct 2010

apparently bicillin effects your potassium levels... that's really all i know. i don't understand why it does... just that it does
my doctor flat out told me i would lose potassium while taking bicillin, so he's been monitoring my levels ever since i started.
now that i've started taking potassium, all of my new and unusual muscle pain disappeared
i figured not every single doctor out there realizes this, so i thought i should warn people.

Wow, I wonder why docs don't tell their patients this. Mine never told me when I was doing bicillin.

Never knew that. I was on Bicillin three times a week for 6 months.
What are the symptoms of low potasium? I know I was really fatigued on it. I just assumed that was one of the side effects.

How much potassium is recommended? I may be doing bicillin in July.
Supplementing potassium is frustrating because of the low dose it is sold in. If I remember right, most potassium is 3mgs which is small percentage of a daily recommended intake.
