I have an appt. next week and don't want to call if I'm overreacting...

So I've been on IV for many weeks. A week ago I start to having burning abdominal left-side pain again like I had all the time before and for awhile after diagnosis. I didn't think much of it, just watched my food more carefully.

A few days ago I find lumps on that side. A friend who is a GP felt them yesterday and said it's lymph nodes. So last night I do a warm castor oil pack, of course I already drink tons of water, and this morning I tried bouncing a little though that made me dizzy fast. They're still there, but the pain isn't as bad.

So now I'm sitting here and my back is hurting pretty bad--but on the right side. I feel it and there's a hard nodule there too, bigger than the one in my abdomen, and I think it's where my kidney should be. I have tons of kidney cysts anyway, suspected PKD though no family history, I think it's lyme...

Anyway, are there lymph nodes between the kidneys and the skin/muscle on your back? Why, after all this time on antibiotics, would they start freaking out? Could it be my kidney itself? Could it be herx or perhaps it means I'm getting worse? What can I do to stop all this from being a problem?

I have made so much progress recently and the last thing I want is an interruption in treatment from poor detox or organ protection.

Thanks so much in advance!

New bite in 2010 pushed my body over the edge. Positive for lyme, babs, bart, and myco.

If your liver is congested the lymphs become congested.

Look into MTHFR, Liver nutrients (NAC, ALA, Selenium, Milk Thistle), Liver flushes, coffee enemas, red root

Thank you, I will look into red root and some of the other things you mention, canefan. My liver function is tested every week though and comes back fine...

Luckily the swelling seems to be going down with careful use of the heating pad and lots of lemon/olive oil covered veggies today. I just woke up and realized I'm sitting up without pain again thankfully. [Smile]

what is MTHFR?

Short answer: you'll see good links just by popping that term into a Google search.

Long answer: others should be along who have the energy for detail or links previously posted here.

you can also search in the subject line here:

So... interesting and depressing turn of events. My cat has been ill so I take him to vet today. Vet thinks its bartonella, gives antibiotics, eye drops, and oral flea preventative to supplement the topical application we use. But, vet says that we should know there's no way to truly eradicate it, that he could relapse.

This cat loves to knead and paw at us and sometimes inadvertently scratches. I'm wondering if him being sick and scratching me this week reinfected me with bart, which I'm not currently targeting, and whether that explains the lymph nodes.

Has anyone else dealt with this?
