Hi All: I just started treating Bartonella with artemesia. Is it normal to feel like you are coming out of your skin? It is very unsettling. Thank you...

First, do you also have Babesia?

If so, has that been addressed? I'm asking as if babesia is present, you are likely to be even more affected since artemesia is also used for babesia (and malaria) . . . but for either of those it must be in a combination formula.

--------------

Yes. Artemesia can do that.

Are you getting enough water with that?

Are you taking the whole herb in capsule as Artemesia or a stronger extract such as Artemisinin?

Is this part of a broader herbal formula?

Hope so but, if not, there are things that can help create a better balance -

- and maybe a lower dose with gradual ramping up.

As you just started out, though, I assume you started with a very low dose. ??

Since artemesia can stress the liver's main detox pathway (Cytochrome P-450) it can be harder on some folks than others.

LIVER SUPPORT is absolutely essential when taking this but it may take a while to find the right blend for your body.

Are you taking Milk Thistle? Other liver support?

MAGNESIUM. FISH OIL.

ADRENAL SUPPORT (such as Holy Basil, etc.) should help calm things down your reaction.

But it's wise to just expect that this is not going to be a picnic and do the best you can to take care of yourself.

Great way to describe that feeling. ONe of the worst feelings.

I am not sure about Bart, but I do have Bab.'s and have taken Art in the past.

Any Bab.'s tx will give me that horrible feeling;Art, Mepron, Crypto., Zythro.

When it gets really really bad I take a muscle relaxer just to take that edge off my body so I can function.
