My LLMD has taken me off abx for now and is thinking I'm dealing with systematic yeast. He prescribed 200 mg of Diflucan and two 500,000 units of Nystatin twice daily. Can I take the Diflucan and Nystatin at the same time? Best to take with meals?

I know that Diflucan is hard on your liver. When is the best time to take my detox supplements (milk thistle, NAC, ALA, Yogi Detox tea) in relation to the Diflucan?

Polkahero, what symptoms did you have that made your llmd think you have systemic yeast?

Yes, take them with meal, especially the diflucan. You also need to stay upright for about a half hour after you take the diflucan or it will make you feel ill.

I've been treating with multiple combos of abx for the last year with no improvement. I've been having some stomach/throat issues lately, so I think he believes Candida may be an issue now. He also cited a study in Germany that Diflucan was successfully used to treat Lyme Disease. So many symptoms of yeast are similar to Lyme, I guess we're attacking that now and seeing if I improve.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
