I have been trying to change from RX meds for sleep and have been using the time release melatonin and magnesium before bed. Seems to be working, but was wondering if anyone knows of any side effects or negatives from using it every night and does it really give you the deep sleep you need. Thanks.

I am not aware of any. I take 2 drops of melatonin every night and magnesium most every night. I sleep great. Even when I get up for bathroom, I go right back to sleep.
The health and wellness docs use it for anti-aging and cancer protection, but I have never really explored that side of it.
I like Melatonin-PG (live source, non-synthetic) from Quantum Nutrition Labs.

Thanks, hammer. I just found Keebler's post from Jan and am thinking I may need to lower it. I am on 3mg and think I will try to find a 2mg and see how that works.

I've heard it's not good to take Melatonin EVERY night because then your brain stops producing it like it should. Is there any truth to this I wonder?
