My heart rate, throughout the day, is roughly 82-88
Anyone else have issue with this and maybe what infection can cause that?
I'm on abxs but don't understand why they'd STILL be causing high heart rate after this many months.

Normal HR. Low BP slightly increase HR to you may be issues with Vagus Nerve inflammation/infection. Could be some POTS issues here also.

I also had low BP and a high heart rate after starting treatment for lyme. My BP has improved to a healthy rate and my heart rate fluctuates (now varying between low 70's and 90's) since taking licorice tea daily. Licorice helps the adrenals and can raise BP.
Like Lymetoo said, your heart has to work harder to pump the blood when your BP is low. I assume these changes have been caused by adrenal fatigue.

I also have a much higher HR since starting treatment. before I was like 50-55 with BP at 90/60. Alost dead LOL. Now my BP is up too 120/80 and HR about 88.
I can feel the blood pulsing through my body. Hopefully this is a good sign that my body if fighting, and I have also started adrenal supports.

Sicklyme, I can also feel the blood pulsing through my body and never thought of it as something good. Thank you for giving me a new perspective on this! Posts: 2386 | From New England | Registered: Aug 2011

Dehydration can cause low BP and high (er) heart rate. Are you well hydrated?

Good point, desertwind, but hydration was never an issue for me. I drink lots of water and herbal teas throughout the day.
My BP became the lowest it has ever been within a few months of starting lyme treatment and I was often light headed or faint upon changing position.
My BP is now very healthy (usually 110/70 or there-abouts), since using licorice tea regularly. I also no longer feel faint when changing position.
My heart rate is still usually in the 80's or 90's with an occasional 70's reading. When I was well, my resting heart rate was in the 60's or 70's.

Thanks for input y'all.
I am dehydrated and it's an issue for me treating Bart (hypermotility and irritated nerves cause food to exit too fast and me to pee so often)
Staying hydrated is hard for me.
Adrenals are definitely an issue for me. Low adrenals. Always low BP and poor sleep.

I have lyme and bart and babs or something babslike, and FL1953 and have had that issue as well.
I'm starting to finally see some improvements in the vitals, with my too-low BP going up and my too-low temperature going up and my too-high pulse going down. 82-88 is right around what I had for years and years despite being very skinny, until treating lyme for a couple years and nowhere on the vitals.
Now just recently I'm seeing a real difference, after even treating biofilm heavily with low-fat diet and other things, it is not even treating that which reduced the high pulse, it's treating the infections themselves (although treating biofilm first probably needed to do this effectively).
I've gone through a cycle the last couple months of homeopathics, getting weaker and then stronger doses, and during the weaker dose periods, it calmed my immune system down and it fought less, my pulse got down to 54-60 for a week or so, then back up to 80 as I ramped up again, now making headway down to 68-72 range.
Point of all this is, can't tell you what infection, but definitely seems to be from focus on the infection itself.

Just a note on the dehydration thing...
You can still be "dehydrated" if you are drinking alot of plain water. Hypoatremia - too little salt and other minerals in your body from drinking too much water. Diluting the body.
I always feel better when I add electrolytes to my daily intake of fluids.
Lyme and co. does all kinds of crazy stuff to us. HAve you had your mineral levels checked recently?

desertwind, I've been getting blood tests monthly and nothing has shown up as far as mineral deficiencies. I also had a Doctor's Data test for toxic and essential elements.
My skin is elastic - and I have been urinating frequently with plenty of tears when I cry... so I don't think I have been dehydrated. I also use a lot of salt with my MD's blessing.
Michael, that is interesting and it is encouraging that over time, the treatment helps to stabilize the heart rate and BP.
