Do most people herx on ABX? My LLMD says that 70% of people don't herx or herx much.
I don't herx on many ABX and not much or long on anything thus far. I have only gotten worst over time and it feels like typical migrating symptoms, the same symptoms that people complain of when not treating at all.
I am perplexed at this point & I have taken various combos of ABX. Now I am on Doxy, Biaxin, Penecilin VK, Sida Acuta, 3 tspns Colloidal Silver, over 20G of Salt C and NO MAJOR HERX.
I just don't get it.

Hmm i don't really herx either, or it will be very mild. BUT I do think I am very slowly getting better.
Maybe find a good muscle tester to help make sure you're taking the right meds.
You feel you're getting worse...how long have you been with your LLMD?

I herx, and I'm not even on abx (on herbs and anti malarial). My husband doesn't even herx though. I guess we're all different (different exposures to toxins, parasites, and different DNA).

70% DON'T herx?? Then what is wrong with the rest of us!!??
I would say, from what I've seen on this board, 70% DO herx.

I've been with my LLMD for 1yr and 3 months thus far.
Herx, herx, herx....that is all a hear on this board. Like I said I only have daily migrations mostly. No consistant herxes, but so many symptoms.
Pfffft I can tell most do herx based upon responses.
I don't even get Doxy burns in the sun for that matter. Maybe I have super kidneys and excrete everything so efficiently. Toxins in the beginning, which took a decade and a half for me to get totally sick and now ABX.
This is the only theory I have.

Worsening of symptoms, more weakness, increased pain in areas that you have pain, sharp pains, headaches, numbness, it could be most anything. No one person herxs the same.

If dosages of meds are inadequate, the patient will not herx. And, the disease will continue to progress or at least will not improve.
Have you compared your dosages to the dosages in Burrascano?
Have you read what he says about Biaxin (clarithromycin), such as on pages 14-15?
The proper dosage is given on page 18 as follows:
"Clarithromycin- Adults: 250 to 500 mg q6h plus hydroxychloroquine, 200-400 mg/d, or amantadine 100-200 mg/d."
You can also read page 12 about Combination Therapy, and page 19 where it says:
"A typical combination is the use of a cell wall agent plus a protein inhibitor (ie: amoxicillin plus clarithromycin)."
Doctors who give low doses of antibiotics do not have patients that herx. So, I am really wondering if this is what is going on in your case.
If you are not herxing but are improving, then there is no problem. But, you have treated with this doc for over a year and see no progress. So, there IS some type of problem.
Hope this helps you figure out if your treatment is adequate. Some patients have to push their doctors for more agressive treatment. Some have to move on to another doctor.

I don't get doxy burns either-- I totally don't get my lack of herding. The only thing that we're different on is that i have gotten better...although, very slowly, and I'm far from better.
Check your med doses like TF said, make sure you're on enough-- and also you might not be hitting the right things...
