I have a restricted diet and want to make a salad dressing and read about AVC. Is it allowed on the Lyme diet? Does anyone have a salad dressing they make for salads? Right now I use lemon juice. It is OK,but would like some variety.

It's supposed to be good for yeast. It's pretty strong for me. I have given up on salad dressings and now use only oil.

I used to be addicted to Ranch Style dressing! If the salad did not have Ranch .. I didn't want it! [Big Grin]

Apple cider vinegar has a lot of health benefits. I've used it for years.

Ditto
My LLMD recommends it for treating yeast as well. The more the better (salad dressing or marinade for meats etc.)

I watched my Texas mother in law take a tsp of it every morning. She was rarely illexcept for breast cancer that she successfully overcame. She died last year. She was 103!

you're right about that great Texas ranch dressing! It was always on the table. But she took a teaspoonful every AM undiluted of ACV without flinching. I put it in a little water and then brush my teeth.

I just woke up to this thread and I love it!! Between tutu and the 'ranch' and farraday's signature...I'm set for the day.

By the way is there a recommended amount of ACV other than the teaspoon mentioned here? Is it too much to use it as a hot drink with a meal? I had to give up coffee!! That was an insult!!

Should it go down on an empty stomach?

Right on the bottle of Bragg's it tells you how to make a drink using water, acv and honey. I don't drink with meals because it reduces stomach acid, but yes, you can make a tasty drink out of it.

I'm one who can just take it straight if I don't want a glass of water. The taste doesn't bother me at all.

I recently read about braggs helping reflux

My reflux is getting worse and i decided to try it. My mom always talked about vinegar and honey. She also survived breast cancer but lyme disablrd her the last 7 yrs of her life and she died of pneumonia but also had many lyme sx and no tx

Anyway...on the bottle it says mix with water bottled in glass...

I have tap water or water bottled in plastic...i cant get a filter system now...do you think it will work? Would tap or poland spring water in plastic be better?

I just made. A warm cup of 8 oz water, one teaspoon each of braggs and organic honey. I took it alone on empty stomach and it was yummy.

So...tap or plastic? And i guess i shouldnt use microwave to warm water right?

I have such bad reflux it surprises me i can drink vinegar and not feel awfyul

I never could tolerate that stuff. Go easy on the honey.

I sure hope it works for you! I would choose plastic over tap.

I know randi...im surprised. But there is a lot written about acv helping reflux and making you less acid. Its wierd that lemon water does that too.

I took it at 4 on empty stomach, ate at 6, still feel good. Im.trying to go without omep tonight. We'll see

Thanks. Six knows about acv if you have questions. Shes written a lot about it

The apple does help me. I was told to have 1/4 apple and or tsp organic honey after each meal

It does help but doesnt cure me. Im hoping 3 cups of the abive mixture a day will cure
