About three years after infection from a Lyme tick I suddenly developed pain in both feet. I've heard that Bartonella has these symptoms (bottom of feet). Mine seems to be different. Its not the bottom of each foot but in the arch bones AKA metatarsals and concentrated where they meet the toes At first, it was painful the first few minutes after waking up but now its painful all day, but still really bad at wake-up. Could this just be Lyme arthritis, which I do have in the knees and sometimes hips?

az, I have foot pain on the top of my arch too (coubold joint?) -- a bit in my metatarsal. the podiatrist's x ray did show inflammation akin with osteo-arthritis... but the pain came first in one foot, then both right as I started abx 16 months ago and never left, although it is better now after treating bart with cipro. llmd does thing this bart. it's so hard to rest your feet to get any real healing. epsom baths have helped me very much. also, a product called neurogen which is a homeopathic cream you can get at CVS. it has a very strong smell (herbal, lavender) ...but it has been worth it too me.

I have foot pain, as well. Lots of cracking in my ankles and feet, too. I can only wear one or two brands of shoes because my feet always hurt.
I have asked the same question before, but, nobody answered me. I wasn't sure if this foot pain could be bart because I didn't have burning soles. Well, after 12 years, I finally had a positive bart test. So, maybe it is bart all along..

Its in or on the top of my feet in the bones near the toes, so not typical expression of Bartonella my guess. Nor is it Plantar Fascitis which is inflammation towards the front of the heel affecting the plantar fascia tendon. That tendon does not hurt on me at all.

Mortons neuroma? I suspect all these foot issues are bart related somehow. I get periodic pain on top of my foot, as well as the typical bottom foot complaints for bart. Bart treatment helps me with both areas.
