I plan on travelling to a famous mold doctor.

I would like feedback from members who have been treated. Would you encourage me or is it a waste of money. ( I have a very good knowledge of mold).

Please pm.

I too would love to hear the answer. To date, I have read of no one dramatically helped by mold doctors. There was one woman in Florida who seemed to have some improvement, but don't know if it was the mold doctor's treatment that did it.

I have never found any doctor that has a clue about any of Dr S' (the mold expert in MD) testing. Running the tests is worthtless if no one is educated about the meaning of them. It's so frustrating. Good luck.

I'm sure the famous Dr. K knows a ton, but he knows a ton about everything known to man. Unfortunately, just one of him exists.

I was going to go. I called and got the package. One thing, he wants your medical records since birth, the other thing is he had a lot of required testing. It was like a couple of grand.

At the end of the 100 page package was his stance on Lyme, which is different than what our LLMD's believe. My LLMD did all the testing and couldn't take me any further than the CSM and treating for MARcONS. That's why I had looked into it.

I have the bad genes for detoxing mold and Lyme and my house tested poorly on the ERMI. We found the sources and did major renovations last winter.

I think the mold was why I got sick to begin with.

I know he's not supportive of long term abx. He thinks that it's all neurotoxins. He may be right...he may be wrong too. I didn't want to take the chance. I've been treating Lyme, Bart, and Babs too long, and been through too much to take the risk of going off abx before I'm in remission.

im struggling with this too...so complicated...so many want to take your money and then end up not helping...docs and contractors

my new supposedly lyme literat primary says the only mold test is for stachys and that stackys is the only mold that can make you really sick

i think she is wrong...but my last 2 primarys couldnt figure out how to test me for mold at all

im so tired of this

RC1,

thanks. Good idea to read the intake package and ask for prices.

Hi:

Over the past few months I've been treating through an LLMD who subscribes to a good chunk of what Dr. S. teaches.

This is after 17 years of dealing with Bb and co's. To date, I really haven't improved all that much with CSM.

Now I had one gene that tested bad for mold, but my other parent (gene) was fine. However, my C4a and TGF-b1 were both off the charts and the highest my LLMD has seen.

So, she believes mold might be a player, but not the only or even the main issue and we're back trying to treat lyme, mainly bart, and she has me on A-bart with some other stuff.

Quite frustrating!

Thx,
Dave (Now in VA.)

I saw a Dr who trained with Dr S. she was extremely reasonable, and very knowledgeable. I have the bad detox gene- but she doesn't use CSM. She uses other binders.

She believes not detoxing hinders lyme treatment , but detoxing alone without abx won't "cure" Lyme
