Gigi, have you ever done a whole-system GI cleanse? I'm thinking of doing the Arise and Shine cleanse. I've heard very good things about it. I've been doing colonics and enemas for a few months now and I've kind of hit a plateau with my symptoms. I feel like a cleanse will get me to the next level. Any thoughts?

Great article. I am beginning to think many of my problems stem from this.

My disease started in the skin. From a tickbite.

Linnada,
I did half a dozen different cleanses before I found one that cleared all my symptoms.
I never tried the one you are looking at. What made you choose that one?
I was looking Arise and Shine cleanse up online and I found this:
quote:http://danabaptise.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/08/health-part-four.html Arise and Shine is the most complete colon cleanse I have ever ever done. Hands down. But I don't know how anyone could do it while still maintaining their lifestyle. You would have to go away to do this cleanse (which is what I always did!)
Had you heard that about it?
I do a much gentler, nutritional deep cleanse that had me feeling better in 5 days... but I don't have to live on the toilet.
Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began. Posts: 2007 | From NY/VT Border | Registered: Aug 2010

I heard about it from greensmoothiegirl.com. I love what she has to say about nutrition and since I've been drinking green smoothies everyday, I've been feeling a lot better. Much more energy. NIHA where I see my doctors also has information about it.
I'm definitely open to other options. What is yours called and how do you do it?

I did Arise % Shine before I got bit by an insect contracting Lyme and 7 co-infections. I had no problem doing it while I was still working. And I never lived on the toilet and kept my house, garden and kitchen going.
But only cleaning the toxic terrain, metals, chemicals, removing all metals from my mouth, finally got me back to being well. It took years. I treated parasites as I have been posting on LN 12 years ago. I did a lot of colonics. You won't believe what still remains after the different colon cleanses with capsules and teas!
Take a real look at the colon structure and notice the bends, twists and pockets! There is stuff in there that we ate 15 years ago.
Arise & Shine removed 1.5x5" pieces of rubber=like black pieces similar to what a truck loses on the freeway! No razor blade would cut it!
I am detoxing toxic metals right now because when the biofilm busts loose, it brings out with it everything that lived in that web of film. I test the biofilm with my tensor and it contains fungi!
Only being able to tensor what comes out with the metals tells me what to do next. One day a bug here, then some fungi, then another bug or toxin -- all of it testing positive not more than a day or two.
Biofilm is the smartest invention our body created. We may be a bit better at surviving with it overall, but the question is how long. The fungi hangs right in there with the toxic metals which the body created to save us. Bring the metals out beautifully, but then the immune system seems to need to attack the fungi in the skin, causing inflammation and some discomfort. The biofilm eventually reduces our circulation and we all know what that means.
I take DE and find my bm wrapped in biofilm. Don't flush. Look at the evidence.
Learn to tensor - learn to use some energetic testing - or find someone who can do it for you. I learned to find out what is the major culprit on a certain day and I treat it. Learn, learn, learn. Nobody else can fix this disease for you, but yourself. Thank God, the information is out there on this stupid thing, the internet, and we have a wonderful network here, sometimes, when we watch our manners.
Take care.

I found this article very interesting, but there really isn't a one set diet that will work well for everyone. Some people would actually feel worse consuming the recommended foods.
As far as getting all your fillings removed for many that just isn't an option and not all LLMD's feel it is even necessary to do so.
