If you've been following her posts, her husband was diagnosed with stomach and esophageal cancer. He also has Lyme and co's, as does their daughter.
He got very sick and lost a lot of weight on chemo. He was hospitalized several days ago with uncontrollable chemo-induced hyperglycemia (glucose over 500), pain and nausea. He's had lots of vomiting as well, though I think that was under control.
His body is not tolerating the chemo and he is miserable. He and the family made the choice to transfer him to home hospice care.
Please offer prayers and well wishes to the entire family during this difficult time.
If you want an address to send a card, email me at [email protected]
If you want to offer something to the family, I would recommend a gift card to their local co-op, a natural foods market. Let me know in email, and I can provide contact info.

May God strengthen and comfort them.
Praying for the whole family.

Thanks Boxer Mom for posting and everyone for the prayers. As we all know Lymies tend to have thick blood. On Monday he was very lethargic and weak. He could barely walk. His oncologist had me call 911.
Once at the hospital and after several X-rays and CT scans they found that he had a large pulmonary embolism and several DVT's in his leg. They put him on Heparin to thin his blood and insulin to try and lower his blood sugar. The doctors told him that he would be in the hospital for at least a couple of weeks. He started to cry and asked me to take him home.
We brought him home yesterday and he is in his last days. Please pray for him that he doesn't suffer and when it's time that God welcomes him with open arms.
He has put up a brave fight and is tired now. He's been fighting Lyme and Co for more than a decade and probably was undiagnosed for 40 years. It's time to be at peace for him.
Our 19 year old also needs prayer. She is showing such improvement on IV and I hope that losing her father won't set her back too terribly much. Her Daddy is her best friend and she is suffering and in so much emotional pain.
Thank you for your prayers, love an support.

I had no idea that you had also been married 20 years. Steve got a "free" helicopter ride on our twentieth wedding anniversary when he was transported to the hospital where he died a month later. That was something he had always wanted to do so I am thankful for that at least.
So glad your husband was able to be at home with family when he passed.
My prayers are with you.
