Influenzinum. It's cheap, safe, effective, and based on this year's strain.

Here's a link from an online store: http://www.homeopathystore.com/products/influenzinum-2012-2013

My homeopath recommends the same product. - in fact every time I've been exposed to anything recently, cold or flu, this product Zyto tests as being a good product to fight it off.

Tammy,

Merci Beaucoup!

Aside from that, LDM-100 Lomatium tincture is very good to have on hand. Take away from any homeopathic, though. At least an hour, a couple hours probably best.

Not all Lomatium tinctures are as good as the LDM-100, though (in my experience, anyway).

And avoid acetaminophen:

Studies Suggest an Acetaminophen-Asthma Link

Keebler - is the LDM-100 Lomatium used as a preventative or when one has the flu (or both)?

Is it available at health food stores?

Good question and I over looked that.

It could be both but I keep it as a stand by and if I get a hint of a cold or flu, start it then.

It has always stopped any nastiness in their tracks for me - or lessened symptoms especially in the lungs.

Still, it does have a purpose as full time helper you'd just want to study up on that. There have been past threads but I don't think I've got a links set together on it.

Don't know if you can get it at a store. Call your area ones and ask. BARLOW HERBS is my connection for that. Different sizes - different prices. This is the LARGE:

I suggest printing this out, and saving the full text to your computer desktop AND making a copy disc for future reference in case this link might not connect in the future.

As you can see, though, it's very complex and that's why it's best to have ND guidance.

from the link Tammy posted:

www.homeopathystore.com/products/influenzinum-2012-2013

"Ingredient" tab:

Active homeopathic ingredients: Influenzinum 9C

Inactive ingredients: Sucrose/lactose

Also see the "read more" tab as that will answer many questions. And:

Homeopathic nosodes are never preventive, that I know.

They only work after infection takes place.

I have literally hundreds of nosodes home, but NEVER ever used them for prevention.

Much better prevent from flu using vit D3, Vit C, propolis, rechtsregulat, chlorella, garlic.

If you catch the flu, then yes, nosodes can be useful.
