I wonder if some of us are just on too low doses of things. I know that doxy, for example, is supposed to bacteriostatic at lower doses and bactericidal at higher. So if a med suppresses symptoms, or combo of meds, shouldn't it kill it at higher doses?
I have been reading online publications and treated singly, bartonella infections are treated with way higher doses than we get. One patient did 6 pills of Septra per day.....we get 2 pills!
Could this be part of the problem?

Yes, I have heard that. But as some people are sensitive to meds, this might not work for them. Also, more side effects and GI issues with higher doses.
Think it will be individual as to whether this is the right thing for anyone to try.

I wonder-if you take a low dose long enough, and it prevents the bacteria from multiplying-don't they die out eventually?
