Hey my LLMD switched me off Doxy to Biaxin. Yeah I can eat cheese and go outside!

She said 30 days of Doxy to kick things off right, then Biaxin untill I am symptom free for 30+days.

Sounds good to me!

What plans do you have for cyst-buster... Tindamax or Flagyl ?

Doxy does work in early lyme stages, but is known to put Lyme in the dormant cyst form.

I switched to Biaxin from Mepron/Zith 3 weeks ago. I have become very noise and light sensitive. I get bad headaches after being in the sun.

I was told I need to wear sunscreen and be careful in sun.

Lisa Lyme, It sounds like your doctor thinks you could be on the home stretch. Good luck and please keep us posted.

Many doctors don't like giving us Doxy as the summer rolls along so having that change is good from many angles.

I am on Biaxin as a Zith substitute when I was having ear problems. My doctor felt I was having a Zith reaction to the medication.

In any case, I hope that the Biaxin works well for you and gets you over the top and on that road to recovery.
