Hi <<<<< LymeNet Family >>>>>,

The flu virus I had in May/early June, has left me w/ a resurgence of IC problems.

Is it common to get an actual cramped area along w/ the frequent urination and stinging/burning?

For some reason I've been getting cramping on the lower right [usually] abdomen/groin. Occasionally on the left side.

I don't have an appendix or GB and had the full Hyst' years back.So I know it isn't from those issues.Perhaps it is IC and 'IBS' combo??

I have an appt. Fri. w/ my Dr., so If it hasn't calmed way down,I'll have to mention it.

Tho'ts and ideas are appreciated! Thank You!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well.

I would have your Dr. check you for a bladder infection.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo, and Jane2904 >>>>>,

I am still learning, but it isn't surprising that the yeast would affect the IC issues. I'm gonna have to do a search so I can look at the different symptoms.

Between LD,Bart,Babs, and Yeast it seems that everything overlaps.

I've been praying that it isn't a bladder infection,or *kidney stones either. I haven't had any serious *stone issues, but it seems to run in my family.

And every now and again I get that harsh kicked in the lower back feeling, w/ some nausea.

Things are crazy here right now. TxC' is at the clinic getting his C-PAP machine and mask refitted.

Tomorrow,if they don't cancel a fourth time [grrrr arrgh VA ]he has his kidney/abdominal CT w/ barium this time.

And then I find out the results of my blood tests Friday afternoon w/ my Dr.

Also, we have date and time for TxCoords VA Disability hearing before the DC Judge. We've been waiting four years now for this...and have just a couple or so weeks left to go.

Will update more on this as time gets closer.

Did you order the sample of Berberine yet?
Keebler found that Berberine reduced her symptoms of interstitial cystitis significantly.

From what you discribe, the cramping sensation is not in the urinary bladder, as that is located in the center, not off to the side.

What are your IBS symptoms?
Irritable bowel syndrome happens when the intestines are not getting an adequate blood supply.
This happens as a result of too much fibrin in the blood, and THAT happens because of a chronic infection like Lyme.

Systemic enzyme therapy with Wobenzym or other enzymes will reduce the fibrin.

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo, and Carol in PA >>>>>,

Thanks for the prayers and links Lymetoo!!!

We are both nervous as well as excited about the possibilities, and hoping and praying they find in TxCoord's favor on the disability issue.

It would be so nice to have more funding available. And to not have to live pay check to pay check.

Not that we'd be rich, but we'd have enough that maybe we could both get some dental work done, and I might be able to get my eyes checked and a new eye prescription.

Maybe I could even get some insurance again?! We have to wait and see what happens. But it is nice to dream while we wait.

Looking thru the links, I have at least some of the supplements that could help me battle the yeast as well as LD and Co's.

And Carol,I haven't got to try the berberine tho' I want to very much. We have a different *Credit card company now,and that may help.

We had an argument w/ the *former company [prepaid credit/debit],when someone hacked our account, still working on resolution [money was taken and spent on the east coast, very far from where we live long story, police were notified etc.].

It slowed everything up, and now we're in full gear to getting TxC' thru this disability
hearing [out of state].

I am so glad that you brought it up tho' I keep hearing great things, and I felt even the Goldenseal was a help, so the berberine should be better.

The link is in our favorites - bookmarked so
hopefully soon,we can afford any shipping on the free samples. I've wanted to try it for some time.

I have had bladder infection in past tho' not recently, and it was more centered than this pain.

The 'IBS' problems were Dx'ed many many years back ,before I knew about LD. I get constipated w/ almost a 'cork like' affect. And it can go the other way into diarrhea both ways are painful,it cramps, sometimes I get nausea when it is severe.

The bowels feel way full, and it presses on an already inflamed urinary tract, which doesn't want to empty all the way,and then it 'burbles'/leaks a little, so I wear a liner at all times.

Since the flu bug, it is all acting up again, Painfully so. I have an adhesion, and it is acting up too. The fibrin issue makes sense it would explain a good bit of this.

It is often hard for me,w/ blood tests, the blood is difficult to get out, that I think? is a fibrin issues too. I've been wanting to try the systemic enzymes as well. I've had some like papaya and pineapple/bromelain[?] but very very limited.

I need to get a good gentle fiber cap too,I ran out recently. Sometimes it is difficult for us to balance everything in our budget.

So again, I am hopeful TxC's disability will go thru in our favor [ many things still are not free to the Veteran, TxC' still pays on part of his medications among other things].

As soon as we find out a decision, we'll be updating, until then, its keep food, rent, and utilities paid up, and pray we don't have anymore vehicle problems [we've had some].

I better rest for a bit, but thanks for the input, the tho'ts, ideas, and suggestions, are muchly appreciated!!!

I was told by doc treating IC and my PT that the cramping is from muscle spasms. First the bladder spasms and then the pelvic floor spasms (can make going a normal stream impossible...more start & stop stuff)...then the sides (& into lower back) cramping.

Sometimes I heat my beanie bag and place it over cramping side area or on my thigh. (I know that's hard now that it's so hot outside.)

God bless and heal you silver, you've been though so much.

Hope your doc is good ... seems IC is alot like lyme. Most docs don't have a clue.

Hi <<<<< DKAT >>>>>,

Thank you for the kind reply !!! I am still learning, about all this. I've been known to use my rice buddy to try to stop the cramping,or at least slow it down some.

It is really really hot here right now,and may reach 115'F. by Saturday. If the cramping doesn't ease,I'll be sitting in front of the fan...

[AC is already on]with icepack on back of my neck and the rice-buddy heated and on my groin. area.

It got way hot, much sooner than is usual here, according to the locals. But the winter e had, didn't get below 20'F. Where er lived in Idaho,it often went below zero, for days at a time in winter.

As to the IC, w/ spasming cramps, and likely also Fibrin issues as Carol talked about, adding in 'IBS' sometimes I feel like I live in the bathroom.

I appreciate the blessing and the healing tho'ts so much. I love that tagline verse you have too!!!

After being out of Church for five years,w/ physical problems and other issues,we've been very blessed to find a Church nearby us!!!

They love the Lord and so far have been very accepting of us, I couldn't go this evening, but
TxC',my hubby, got to go,and he'll get some good notes for me!!!

They don't know much about the Lyme and Co's but they try to understand, and work with us. It is nice, too because when I cannot get out...I can check on their site on the net.

Thank you again for your reply and info'!!!

Hi <<<<< LymeNet Family >>>>>,

Well we got TxCoord thru his medical test, odd day,but not as long as we were told to expect.

IC situation for me was still somewhat painful, my Dr. appt. for the blood test results is this afternoon, we'll likely talk about the IC then.

I'm going to try and relax a bit it's still early here. BBL

Hi <<<<< Lymetoo, and Lyme Family >>>>>,

Our clinic is literally 'pay as you go' for those like me w/o insrance, and Dr. believes the situation is the result of the IC.

I'll be getting a prescription early next week, that I used some years back for some U.T./kidney issues and CFIDS/FMS. We'll keep it low dose, his IC patients have used it w/ some success so we'll see.

My blood work was reasonably good for me,so I am relieved about that, tho' of course there is no LD info' from it. This is not an LLMD group.

BBL off to get some dinner, TxC' is cooking dinner ,yumm!!!

Look up D-mannose at iHerb.com and read reviews for interstitial cystitis.

I can't remember if you said whether or not you've tried that one.

Hi <<<<< Carol', and Lymetoo >>>>>,

I have head of D-mannose, but have not used it.

Thank you for the suggestion, I spoke w/ TxC about this, and we'll see what is available in area, and on net. We'll be checking into this early next week [ sigh... budget constraints].

So much, we are hoping and praying for some relief thru the upcoming VA hearing for TxC'. I am concerned about him. His stress level is so high right now.

His CT test had gone fairly well, altho' they didn't do one of the scans we were told to expect. We are not sure yet when VA will get back to us w/ the results.

I'm glad to at least know my results, My A1C went down a little, cholesterol is slowly going down a bit [and so on]. Dr. is aware that I am highly allergic to any 'statins.

I mentioned some of the various supplements, we use, he actually seemed interested. And we mentioned a side effect of the new prescription he is having me try [I had used it many years back w/o much issue].

He had not heard of the side effect, which is a craving for chocolate/sweets . Now I'm gonna check out chocolate for what is in it... must be a reason for the cravings.

At least now I know of a dark chocolate powder that has no added sugar. It tastes good in small amounts,

...tho' I need to research about the yeast
infection and such. I am glad to be getting more
info' on fighting the yeast. Y'all are wonderful to share links, ideas and insights on what has helped w/ LD Co's ,yeast and so on.

BB in a bit...

Jus' me, dark chocolate, w/ out milk product, does pack a lot of beneficial things, antioxidants, flavinoids etc.

I was surprised to learn,w/ small amounts it can help reduce chances of heart attack and stroke and lower blood pressure! I had heard it could be good for one.

The big caution, small amounts only please, in moderation. Off to check more of the yeast links!!! And thanks again for the info'!!!

Jus' Silverwolfi

PS. edit in: Hmm, chocolate is on the avoid lists for yeast. I will have to be very careful. I have to do something tho', can't tell where the LD and Co's symptoms stop and the yeast issues
begin.

Well, w/ much thanks and gratefulness to the LymeNet Family, TxCoord and I are both learning and arming ourselves in the war against LD and Co's!!!

Brief update, started a low dose prescription, on the $4.00 dollar plan [to help ease the IC], but hoping to switch and see if the berberine and other herbals will help as soon as we can get them.

Trying hard to be patient!
