Cryptolepis drops are like chewing on asprin, even 1 drop in a cup of water is hideous. It is expensive and hard to get, I have only found drops.

I could probably handle it just fine if they were in gel caps. Does anyone know how one might get some empty ones I could inject with the stuff?

google 'empty gel capsules' and a bunch of places show up where you can buy them.

Put the drops in the capsule and take it right away before the liquid softens the capsule.

OH yes. All health food stores carry them. Vitacost or Swanson's probably carry them also.

You could also put a little coconut oil in the capsule (use a little knife) to help your stomach out a bit!

I buy mine at 1stchineseherbs.com

I was kind of curious about your idea. I was able to get about 30 drops in a 00 sized capsule. And at least with Cats Claw tincture the capsule has not melted yet. So I think it will work !

Best deal: $7 for 300 "00" vegetable capsules through Swanson Vitamins. I use these for taking essential oils internally.

Great! Thanks, this stuff is horrid tasting.

But I guess it is helping with 'detox' as my herx response is awful headaches. That sounds really stupid.

Just a note about my little experiment.

With an alcohol tincture the capsule was soggy after half an hour.

Possibly an oil would last longer. But with a tincture I think you need to fill the capsule and take it.

One thing you might consider is that
gel caps are generally made from bovine or porcine prosessing by-products and have a high free glutamate acid content, i.e., MSG equivalent, which is considered not good for lyme patients - or anyone else for that matter - though especially bad for those with neuro issues, and certainly not good if your vegetarian. Vegetarian caps are widely available, though beware that some are made from GMO corn.
