Has anyone had vertigo from Doxycycline? I did one dose of IV Doxy last week, and I'm still having episodes of vertigo. I had no vertigo prior to this.
My doctor said to stop the Doxy, so I have not taken any more since then.
Other meds I'm on include Flagyl and Zofran.
Anyone else experience this? Any ideas what's going on?

It did not happen to me from doxy, but I had horrible vertigo from clindamycin. I was told to stop it as well. 24 hers later the vertigo was gone. Mine was oral antibiotics, with IV it may take longer to clear your system.

I've been on both oral clindamycin and doxy and experience head rushes and dizziness from both unfortunately. Ultimately I'm seeing slow improvement with the doxy. The clindamycin I simply couldn't handle. I thought I was losing my mind.
Have you checked your blood pressure? Mine falls very low and the doctors believe that may be what's causing them to happen. Other theories are that the meds are working and my body is reacting as is expected.
Hope you feel better soon!

It's been over a week since my one dose of Doxy and I'm still having vertigo. My doctor wants me to try another dose, but I don't want to.
Thanks for the feedback...
Keebler, I wish I could take ginger & other herbs but I'm not able to do anything orally right now (not even a tiny sip of water), so I'm at the mercy of what's available via IV or IM injection. I hope to be getting some molybdenum soon...that will help me more than anything else.
