I have severe inflammation and rheumatoid-like arthritis. It exploded very fast when I started Bart treatment 2 months ago (after 2 yrs of babs/lyme treatment).
Now I'm going low & slow on abx in hope it doesn't get much worse. I'm treating bart, lyme, and babs (rifampin, mino, crypto).
Now all fingers, wrists, knees, shoulders, and elbows involved...all bilateral, extremely painful and debilitating.
RA test is negative, but my rheumatologist (and MRI results) confirm an RA pattern to inflammation & damage.
How can I treat this and continue my lyme abx?
I eat a highly modified anti-inflammatory diet, take tumeric (2 pills 3x/day) and Celebrex along with my lyme meds.

Look up a product called Peapure. In america it is sold by PJ's pharmacy. It is supposed to really help with pain.
I have not used it so I can't vouch for it. It is not horribly expensive and you will know in several weeks if it is working.

I had RA in my knees starting in 94. a product called CMO got rid of it after barely being able to walk... it was a very bad case, but without permanent cartalage damage.
CMO is not helping my hands though from lyme.... but I suppose it could be different for you.
I have also found that serrapeptase does nothing for the lyme joint issues either as I've been on high doses of that for 7 weeks now.
MSM helps somewhat but so many pills to take!!! to get to a dosage that does anything. Im going to try tumeric next and freeze dried garlic with it. MSM is basically a sulpher supplement of sorts...so Im thinking maybe garlic will work. Garlic also has antimicrobial properties.
I wish I knew if continuing inflammation meant that there was still lyme in the joint or if its a left over symtom of damage that it did. I no longer have pain in the hands and no joint cracking... but just stiffeness and mild swelling that is almost gone my noon, but is never totally gone.

Also, is your LLMD also a rheumatologist? If not, their is a good LLMD/rheumatologist in Virginia who put my son into remission from a multi-joint bilateral arthritis. He was also RA negative.

I have had Lyme induced RA 15 years. Early on I took most of the products mentioned above, then advanced to several biologic drugs, methotrexate, steroids, copper bracelets, you name it.
I need knee replacements and my hands show changes in the distal joints.
My husband ordered a cactus juice from a TV infomercial and it has helped to the point I no longer have a limp, I have no spine or hand pain and get around pretty good.
I realize what helped me might not help the next person.

Today Ive been off of serrapeptase for 5 days and my hands are much worse...so maybe it was helping more than I thought. Being on so much stuff its hard to sort it out but makes sense that it was helping though because Ive used it for some other pretty bad inflammatory issues in the past and it worked like a charm. My fingers feel like they are getting disjointed this am and I havent had that for quite a while.

I've never taken Serrapeptaste. The cactus juice is Nopalea. If you try it give it time to work. For instance I had Lyme 14 yrs & 5 of it I had Morgellon's as well so I didn't see improvement for 3 months and better at 5 months.
I met a lady recently that has Morgellon's and she took a job in Mexico. She ate cactus with most meals and her Morgellon's improved a lot.
Nopalea uses the ripe berry on top of the cactus, it's full of antioxidants. Nopalea (not Nopal) is in your doctor's PDR manual.
