I think it's been established here that berberine helps increase the efficacy of abx, or vice versa. But it has a major synergistic effect on candida when used with diflucan.

Diflucan is really hard on the liver. I wouldn't mix the two.

Catgirl; Yes, that's what it was. Thanks for bringing that to attention.
That is something that has been established by Dr. H.'s protocol for me. Was told NOT to combine Diflucan and Berberine due to potential for toxic effect on the liver. As noted by catgirl, Diflucan is really hard on the liver and you need to have your liver e.'s check monthly - at least I did.
There are a lot of other good herbs to use along side of Diflucan that I have had great success with treating systemic candidas.
Byron White A-FNG would be my #1 choice when not on Diflucan.
