Hi,

I have lyme for over a decade and have neuro Lyme symptoms. I have been posting about my violent headache episodes since Thursday.

Yesterday i was admitted in the hospital because neurologist is suspecting artery dissection is the cause for these headaches.

Since i am pregnant they have not done an MRI with contrast to be 100% but for some reason i am not convinced that i am having artery dissection because i have no sign or symptoms of stroke thank God.

However i suspect Lyme or some sort of co infection or bacteria for these violent attacks. Not sure if Lyme can cause such disabling headaches which i never experienced before ever.

Been in hospital two days and they are giving me a very low dose blood thinner since i am pregnant and one thing which has helped me tremendously is Oxygen mask. Its so helpful when attacks are onset.

Are Lyme symptoms better with Oxygen??

Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

Have your doctors thought of trigeminal neuralgia? Sounds like a nerve pain.

If that is it, I don't know if oxygen would help it. I think oxygen in general does help pain. Not sure.

I hope they can find out the cause very soon!!!

I think oxygen helps cluster headaches. I don't know much about them but heard the pain can be intense, sudden and multiple times a day as attacks.
