I'm taking Deplin w/ high dose B12 because of mthfr too. We are working on detox and gut health simultaneously. I'm getting better but I think it is a long journey after 7+ years of treatment that poisoned my body. (I've had it somewhere between 16-17 years, obviously misdiagnosed.) I'm sticking with it.

Zinc is also needed in the remethylation pathway...where B9 (folic acid), B12 are needed.
The OTHER way to lower homocysteine (transsulfuration) uses B6 (active form = PLP) which -> taurine (lowers cholesterol), GSH = glutathione and sulfate.
Want a diagram of the 2 pathways used to lower homocysteine?

I feel better using it. I don't use Deplin anymore because of the food dye in the pill. There is a product called Methyl Pro (on the internet) that also has 15 mg of folate in it. Cost is less too.
