I am 22 yr old neurocognitive Lyme. Positive western blot.
saw a "Lyme doc" who proscirbed me short term iv rochepin appox a month in duration. Also a short treatment on babs.
i don't have all the classic signs of Lyme which makes this very confusion. Personality changes severe such as inappropriate thoughts or actions, inability to think and find words. Muscle spasm are a big one to.memory problems. Are constant.
i finally had to travel 800 miles away to doc who has me on plaqunil, doxy, and biaxin.i have been on this protocol for 3 months with very small improvement.
am i missing something? Heavy metals. i feel like my cognitive mind is continuing to decline despite best efforts
please help. Please thank you all so much

Bartonella tends to make the neuro cognitive and mental aspects of this disease worse.
I had/have all three bart, babesia and lyme and the symptoms you describe are the same as mine when it was at it's worse.
Bartonella is so hard to find with blood tests because it clings to enothelial walls. It doesn't float around in the bloodstream much. A clinical diagnosis for bartonella by a reputable LLMD or LLND is just as good if not better than a blood test.
Three months on oral abx-don't be discouraged if you do not feel drastically better. Stick to it.
I started feeling better at about 8-10 months in.
God Bless.

Personally, upon reading hundreds of accounts of Lyme infections over the years, I think it is more common to have coinfections with Lyme. It seems to be a minority that get just Lyme.
I have treated Lyme and three coinfections in my wife using a Rife device. She responds to these frequencies immediately when infected. They cause her pain while treating. Frequencies for other infections have no effect. The pain subsides with regular treatments.
Babesia, Bartonella, and Brucella are what I have found so far. Babesia is the only one I have totally eliminated although the others are reduced to the point that they no longer cause much in the way of symptoms. I have not been able to detect any symptoms from the Brucella other than the reaction from treating it.

Sounds very Bartonella-like, just from my own personal experience.
You're at the point where detoxing might help the cognitive symptoms. I started with foot detox patches, which, IMHO, help TREMENDOUSLY. Then moved on to FIR sauna, detox body wraps, herbal detoxes, etc.
I never tested positive for Bart either, but Rifampin did the trick.
