The first time I did it for 4 mths. The second 8 mths. It seems like during the second time Babesia and/or Bart popped up but I can't help but feel I have lost whatever little progress I had made by stopping the IV.
I don't even know what other meds are given IV, I know my doc wanted to do IV Zith. Somehow I just can't seem to get better or 'turn the corner' as others do. Guess I need to justify keeping this Port vs. having it taken out.
Anyone's experiences would be much appreciated! thx

My LLMD wants me to do the PICC line and I keep putting it off and trying other meds instead - Thoughts on getting a PICC line????

@lyme in Putnam.. did you mean despite the 6 times you're still very sick?
@Stainsofpain, I tried a PICC but I guess I'm so inflammed that my PICC arm blew up like a baloon and for some reason just didn't like the PICC. It's worth a try, and IV meds for me were much better than oral.

tailfeathers .. Have you been taking flagyl or tindimax? Or at least taking it while on Rocephin? Rocephin causes a lot of cysts to be formed, so you must take care of those with a cyst buster .. or you will relapse when coming off the Roc.
Maybe you need another LLMD?

Lymetoo, yes, I did take both actually. The Rocephin helped me (took many mths) but we think the babesia has reared its ugly head and I feel like I'm back to square one. This doesn't seem to get any easier! Thx!
