Did you successfully treat Lyme and co's and still have an active EBV infection?
Or did you treat EBV and find that that made Lyme treatment more effective?
I have had high EBV titers for 20 years. After almost seven years of oral antibiotics and antimalarials, my Lyme bars have stayed exactly the same, according to Igenex. Two positive bands and an indeterminate band.
So I am wondering -- could EBV be causing the persistent symptoms -- anyone have any experience or knowledge of this?
I'm thinking that I haven't beaten Lyme yet, but wondering if treating EBV helps?? My LLMD told me the EBV will resolve on its own after Lyme treatment.
Ideas? thanks in advance

Not sure bout others but for me, when I was on heavy duty lyme abx, and started to feel better lyme-wise, my viruses reactivated/flared.
About 6 weeks, while continuing with heavy duty lyme abx, then felt better.

The general consensus is that it will resolve with good lyme treatment.

Have you had recent EBV titers pulled? Can get it done through labcorp pretty cheap (insurance coverage.)
I'd say if after 7 years of treating the bacteria/ parasite infections, if the EBV titers are still high, then that might be a sticking thorn for you, and treating that might make a difference.
I hadn't had viral titers pulled on my dd in 4 years, and 4 years ago 2-3 of them were high. Treated many things since then, but not really specifically viruses,
and new testing done this month shows all viruses at zero! I was pleasantly 'surprised' :-)

Thanks, all. It seems that treating the EBV is not necessary, then?
Surprise, I am so glad to hear that your daughter is improving...yaaay!
Strangely, my Lyme bands have not changed over the years of treatment.
Over the years I have taken pretty aggressive torals for Lyme, Bart, Babs. Also did ivermectin and Humaworm, also some heavy metal detox. Currently working on candida.
I wonder what else I should be looking at?
any words of wisdom?
