Hi everyone. I need some help. I need to buy some 1gm vials. Where is the cheapest place to purchase them without insurance? Am paying cash. How many do you need to purchase at a time to save more money with larger quantity purchased? Thanks everyone.

I don't know if there are bulk discounts.
You can look at goodrx.com. They compare pharmacies in your area and provide coupons.
You need to call the pharmacies directly though. There was only 1 place in my area that had it or would stock it.
My insurance didn't cover it. I got it from the hospital pharmacy. It was about $100 for 10 vials. I think mine were 2gm.

Infuserve America is probably your best bet in terms of prices. Don't forget that in addition to the cost of the medication, there is the cost of supplies. Infussrve has excellent customer service. Biggest shock to me was the shipping cost. Best of luck to you!

Burnsie - you want to inject yourself in the muscle, right? IM?
For IM it should be the cost of:
Cef. vials Lido vials Needles Syringes
If shipped in powder form - IIRC two day mail is OK. No ice/special handling needed. I think a month's supply can be shipped.
I have had confusion with pharmacists - with them automatically thinking IV.
For IV most patients do not reconstitute. Obviously no Lidocaine. More supplies needed - more expense. Not sure when shipped reconstituted (assuming on ice) what the shelf-life is. Days or weeks? Kept frozen until use? Requires weekly shipments? Some questions to ask.
I have not done Ceftr. IV at home so don't know.

WalMart, using a goodrx.com coupon code, $56 for 30 1 gram vials.
Biggest problem was finding a WalMart that would take the time to look it up and order it. The first one the pharmacist glanced at it and said they didn't carry that and can't fill my prescription. Basically a lazy response.
After a few phone calls I went to another nearby WalMart and they had it there for me the next afternoon.
I did have to explain exactly what I needed as they were not familiar with this type of medication... they usually just take pills from big bottles and put them in little bottles.
HEB will also fill it with the goodrx.com codes, but the price is about $90 for 30 1 gram vials, or $3 per gram.
This is for IM use incidentally... as stated you also need 1% lidocaine to reconstitute with and syringes.
