I am crying as I've not been on this board in quite some time. My tears are for anyone still suffering. More and more, we are getting well!
I am well pretty much at 100% most of the time! I had a lyme doc who was willing to do the hardcore treatment and I was determined to make it to full recovery.
I believe that in addition to the various supplements and abx, vigorous exercise, eating an organic whole foods diet, getting off sugar and processed foods, and an excellent chiropractor, massage, has all played a huge role!
DON'T EVER GIVE UP!! Keep fighting until you reach full recovery. I believe.
love to you all!

P.S. I am planning a pregnancy with guidance from my ND. Lyme is pandemic, so adopting does not mean I will bring a healthy child into my life.
One ND that I've worked with pointed out that since I'm well, I will pass on lyme antibodies to my child and that feels exciting to me.
I believe I can do this.

THank you! I am now saying, "I am recovered from lyme disease rather than I have lyme disease.
Here is what I can remember about what worked:
1. I kept moving no matter how sick I felt. I workout out doing cardio and weight lifting several days per week as well as walking about 3 miles daily. I believe this played a huge role!
2. Began work with a lyme doc who is known to do the hardcore treatment. Dr. H
3. 1 year of IM Bicillin. Dr. H Rx a whole bunch of different abx over 3 years pulsing and switching based on symptoms and response. All of the ones that folks talk about on here. I'm so sorry that I did not keep track!
4 Deep tissue massage once per month and sweating once per week.
5. Supplements changed from time to time, but consistent was: Alamax, probiotics, Methyl B Protect (I have mthfr), thyroid meds (poor thyroid!) Soothe and Relax, Energy Multiplex, Fish oil, Phosphaline along with Essential Pro (glutathione) Alka selzer as needed to detox, really good chiropractic care which has been the thing that got me over the last hump to wellness, maca for my hormones,
I am also working with ND Dr M. (woman) who is having great results with essential oils to kill bugs...have not needed that protocol, but may do a few months before pg.
I've never done Vitc/salt, but I did add 2000 mg of Vit C (Ester C) per day at around the time I got over the last hump.
Something called Umcka cold and flu does the trick when my lungs get congested. Gan Mau Ling keeps me well from colds and flu, so I take when I am exposed to something.
Also, moving from an apt that had mold seems to have played a huge role!
I am really urging my ND to push for a study for natural protocol for pg post lyme as I have huge concerns re: pregnancy and abx protocol.
I still have dyslexia! that never cleared...so, I just laugh at it and delete any fb friends who are grammar Nazis.
I love you all! DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!! I came close to dying and felt that way for 2 years.
Having a doctor who really knows what they are doing is key! If you need someone to help you rob a bank to pay for treatment, I'm in!
I'm here if you need anything. (I have a really good feeling about Dr. M in San Diego!)
huge hugs to all!!!!

That is great SuperGirl!
I am in remission too. I was infected in 2006 and diagnosed in 2008. I have not been taking anything, not even supplements since October of last year.
I even quit the low fat diet for PR.
The only supplements that helped me were liposomal EDTA to remove heavy metals and degrade biofilm and prickly pear cactus to bind with fat during the time I was getting PR under control. I don't take them any more.
When I was stressed, for reasons other than lyme, I took Adrenal support with bovine adrenal. That was calming.
I continue to take Low Dose Naltrexone every day. I believe that is a big help to my immune system. I rarely ever get the flu or a cold and if I do it is short lived.
So there is hope! It just happened just like getting sick just happened. They key is to figure out which infection is dominate and treat it. I had 6 or 7.
