So sorry if this info is everywhere, and I just can't find it.

Symptoms are pretty bad right now. Searched around but brain is not working.

I've been having:

- pain under chest

- pain in right side

- pain in lower right abdomen

- pain elsewhere in abdomen

- occasional soreness in mid back

- belching

- feeling very bloated

- feeling gassy....but hard to pass gas

- feels better when lying on back or side

I have a big gallstone and recently posted about that.

This ***might*** be from the gallstone acting up.

BUT, the pain has been acting up daily for about a week and a half.

I don't see gastro doc until Monday.

I want to make sure ALL possibilities are considered, because I do not want someone ripping out my gallbladder if this is something else.

I get nervous because as soon as some docs see you have a huge stone, they chalk it up to that and don't consider anything else.

My LLMD thinks I have candida again and has me on Fluconazole.

He said I can also take Kolorex - or switch off between the two every week or so.

I've only done Fluconazole so far, and don't know if this is die-off (pain getting worse temporarily) or if it isn't working for me.

Maybe I should switch to the Kolorex and see what happens.

Anyway, CAN candida cause these types of pains and symptoms? They get intense at times.

I'm scared about something serious happening between now and Monday.

I did have bloodwork done a few days ago (waiting for results).

I was also in ER a few weeks ago and everything tested fine at that time.

So appreciative for any help!

And apologies again for not finding this elsewhere.

Sounds like the gallbladder to me.

Fluconazole gives me gut pain. So be careful! It can affect the liver.

Candida usually gives me all-over bloating and pain from it.

Sounds like a gallbladder "thing". Have you tried the Stone Free formula by Planetary Herbal. Read some of the reviews on iHerb... Alot of people with gallbladder issues swear by it. (I don't get money for referring supplements.)

I did look at Stone Free, but I'm not yet clear on what it is meant to do.

Dissolve stones? Ease pain?

I have a 3.5cm stone and was told by a surgeon that the drugs meant to dissolve them won't work on a stone so large.

I also get nervous reading reviews from people who wound up in ER after taking it.

I'll ask my doc about it next week.

Got called about blood work. Everything was normal except for a slightly elevated potassium level.

No indication of infection or blockage.

Not sure how blood results can tell a doc whether there is blockage, but that's what they said.

Can pains like this also be from Candida?

Well, I'm not telling anyone what to do but if you ask a surgeon something - they will probably tell you the only way to deal with something is through surgery...

Some people are OK with this - but there are ways to deal with the issue without surgery. Lots of people have posted comments about it on Curezone and elsewhere.

Most regular doctors know nothing about herbal medicine, nutrition or supplements. They will not be able to give you alternative approaches to deal with gallstones.

If you want to try to save your gallbladder, you have to study the information & make up your own mind about what to do. You could try for a second opinion from a natropathic physician...

Just my opinion.

My main thing right now is wondering whether this even IS gallbladder related.

I wonder if any candida sufferers have ever dealt with abdominal pains, etc.

The surgeon told me I don't have to do anything at this point. [Smile]

It sounds like gallbladder to me. My daughter had some of the same symptoms with her gallbladder.

Hope you find answers soon and feel better.

I have had candida and have not experienced the pain part you're describing. I think it's something other than candida that's causing your pain. You could have candida also, re the gas and bloating.

But also that could be SIBO - small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. If you look up and read about the microbiome, that's the balance of microbes in our gut. When they get out of balance, that can cause us problems.

Just for an experiment, I suggest you google for symptoms of microbiome dysbiosis and see whether you think you match any of what people are discussing.

I'm noting all of this down to ask my doctor...lol.

I wonder, if this is gallbladder related, and all of my blood tests and ultrasound results are showing normal (with the exception of the presence of the large stone), what tests should I be asking for to know definitively?

I actually do have some of the SIBO symptoms...hmmmm....

My gastro doc saw me and wants to see me again in 3 months. No testing at the moment.

I think he wants to see if a low-fat diet makes any difference.

He doesn't want to do a CAT scan right now and expose me to all that radiation as he feels we wouldn't gain much out of it.

I just want to be 100% sure what this is.

I am NOT letting someone remove my gallbladder without ruling out other things.

I don't want the assumption made that it's gallbladder just because I have a stone.

So frustrating.
