In Germany, there is research on the relation between glyphosate (Round up, herbicide) and the growth of Clostridium bacteria in the gut of both PEOPLE and cattle.
Cattle is dying in great amounts, malformed, as well as pigs. They eat GMOs which are treated with glyphosate (the main herbicide for GMOs).
In Argentina, children are being born with malformation and the increase of cancer in children has increased 4 times. The closer they live from modified soya plantations, the lower amount of birth malformation and cancer.
Gut flora gets transformed even if anmimals do not consume GMO, but still consume grains which were spread with Round Up (it kills weeds before crop).
You may not like Mercola, but there is enough evidence elsewhere...
Even here, where there is little GMO, everybody has glyphosat in urine. The Professor researching death and malformation of pigs and cattle in germany had hard time in finding people without glyhphosate to compare and study. She herself had it.

- Whoa . . . thanks so much for that great set of information, all in a neat package. Sad, but so important.
As for Mercola, his work has been so very helpful and he is so spot on for many of the topics he explores. Yet, for those who don't quite mesh with his style, it's good to have other detail for them to sort out as well.
Mercola is usually not the only one to notice this stuff but often the first or loudest voice to draw more attention to such matters. I really appreciate his endeavors. -

- Brussels,
Re: the c. diff. connection, I posted your thread over here, as it is important to know for anyone concerned with preventing it, and it can start with our food choices (thanks for pointing that out)

I understand that even sugar cane crops are doused in glyphosate .. same as the wheat is, right before harvest.
The workers who cut sugar cane are losing their kidneys to it.
Sad world we have.

You're welcome...
I watched that Franco-German documentary some time ago, it was so depressing I didn't look further.
Then I bumped on it again, and had to look into it without closing my eyes and ears. My daughter is going to Germany every day, crossing the border and everyone here (neighbors) use glyphosate as herbicide.
They laugh at me, when I come with a kitchen knife and spoons to pull weeds out... I'd rather look ridiculous, but I don't want to contribute for more poisoning.
Even wheat and other crops use glyphosate to make crops easier to be collected... so that no other weed comes in the tractors...
The professor here in Germany had a lot of trouble finding humans who were NOT contaminated with glyphosate, so that she could compare the gut bacteria of them, with other people with glyphosate.
And they supposedly do not grow OGMs here, but Round Up is all aRound....
The acute condition of HUMAN poisoning was called 'polyneuropathy'. The man in the documentary looks exactly like the almost dead cows in the film (barely any muscle on arms and lets, no flesh only bone, no more ability to move his arms that get twisted...)
Plus the horrors of birth malformation and leukemia.
If you have to fight lyme with Round Up, it's going to be hard, as there is barely anything left in your gut to help you. Add antibiotics, maybe they will kill some Clostridia botulinum?! I hope so...
Eat organic!! At least, no Round Up allowed in organic crops!

Sigh. Still, at least we each make the best choices we can with each sunrise. -

Not only does glyphosate act as an antibiotic in the gut, preferentially killing beneficial probiotic bacteria, it also acts as a mineral chelator, especially of magnesium. No wonder so many of us require magnesium supplementation.
Glyphosate is often used as a preharvest desiccant in North America. On conventional non-GM crops like wheat and oats, and on dried legumes. Non-GMO does not mean no glyphosate, only organic does.

YEp, organic is no-glyphosate.
Thank you Rowingmom. It is too scary, awfully scary. Thank you for the link, it's more than sure that our guts are going bananas not ONLY due to lyme bacteria.
I wonder if our guts were healthy, if we couldn't fight MOST pathogens in ticks, without much trouble.
It seems Clostridium botulinum is in our environment, has always been. We eat a bit, our gut bacteria kills it easily.
Add glyphosate which kills good probiotics, and Clostridium botulinum infects men and animals (they can see it in their blood).
I guess the rule of thumb for grains is:
no organic grain = glyphosate. Avoid it!
I see farmers spreading it around MOST of fruit trees, so that it makes their job easier (no need to take weeds off). Since I came to live here 12 years ago.
Everywhere. I live in apple, pear and grape agricultural area, in Switzerland, but I suppose, it is all around.
Pears and apples are still pulverized with so MANY pesticides on top of glyphosate in the soil, that I can't consume them since I started energy testing.
Apples and pears test EXTREMELY poisonous. Even at hand touch. I need to wash hands after touching a non-organic apple!
Pears, apples and grapes. And potatoes, carrots broccoli, non organic: I could never test a single one that could be eaten.
They all test this: wash your hands after touching them, as they may poison you through your skin. I wonder how much of that strong negative test comes from glyphosate (I was only thinking about pesticides and fungicides).
If not organic, none of these 6 things ever tested positive to me, never ever.
Imagine growing potatoes in a SOIL full of glyphosate (that is what they do). No way. Plus pesticides AND fungicides on top.
Veggies that grow underground WITH glyphosate, watch out!
