Lymeboy is needing some help. I cannot do much myself, but am willing to contribute if someone out there such as a long time member or even a moderator (preferably someone who has been here a while who we would feel comfortable giving personal info to if need be) would have the ability to collaborate an effort to raise some funds for him. Please see his recent thread:
A gofundme account would be a good option, but we also need someone to allocate what is generated to lymeboy.
I am not well enough to spearhead this effort myself, so I am putting out the plea for someone else to. I will try to help out with the effort as much as I can, but contributing monetarily may be the best I can do at this time.
Phoiph has expressed some interest in the aforementioned thread.
Phoiph, are you still interested in helping out if it is not expressly for a soft chamber at this point?

We aren't allowed to do fundraising on this site, so the moderators can't help.
You wonderful helpers will have to do all of it "back-channnel."
I do hope Lymeboy can get the help he needs.

There is a huge Facebook presence of Lyme patients. That might be your place to network for fundraising.

Just an update...
I'm not sure what happened to Lymeboy's thread (it "doesn't exist" now for some reason), but wanted to give everyone an update.
As many of you know, Lymeboy has started mild hyperbaric, thanks to some generous support.
I have been playing phone tag with him lately (since he is much busier now), but here is his latest email response to my request for an update on how he's doing:
"...I'm up to 60 minute dives every day. I am actually in pretty good shape. My brain is firing ok. when I first started, I had a lot of numbness all over my body. I've never had that feeling before. Like neuropathy all over my body. Its gone now though. I sleep a lot. Like I'm dead. I don't get up for alarms! But Over all I feel very well..."
I will post more once we connect via phone again.

He still needs our help.
I truly believe he is still on this earth due to Phoiph, the initial help from people on lymenet, and people on lymenet who reached out to give him emotional support. Who knows, if it works for him, maybe it could work for you someday.
Most importantly, I believe he is still with us in large part due to help from people on lymenet and he has a lot to offer this world. He is a beautiful soul.

Thanks for the update Phoiph. Definitely keep us posted!
I'm really happy to hear of his improvement, and I hope and pray it continues.
I wish he wouldn't have deleted some of his topics and left Lymenet. I think he shot himself in the foot by doing so. I think his GoFundMe campaign would be doing so much better if he would not have deleted things.
I understand his frustration with this site though.

I just got off the phone with Lymeboy.
He's is doing VERY well...very upbeat mentally, and physically much better. He says he can't believe the difference; that he is getting his life back and finally has hope.
He knows he is just in the beginning stages of mHBOT treatment, however, and is determined to find a way to continue.
TNT...he says he requested deletion of his threads by the LymeNet Administrator many months ago because at the time he felt "crazy and vulnerable", however, they were only actually deleted a few weeks ago. He is very, very grateful for the support he's received through LymeNet, and plans to update here soon.

When we delete, it's the same way you guys are able to delete your own threads ... one at a time through the edit feature. I didn't know he requested the deletion, but it was a kind moderator who took the time to go through and do that for him.

Sixgoofykids...
I'm sure it was a kind gesture on the moderator's part. Just to be clear, there was no concern about the time frame in which his posts were deleted.
The above quote was in reference to TNT's post that he shouldn't have deleted his threads (i.e., it was due to how he was feeling months ago, not recently).

Great article, Lymetoo...
I recently helped a woman with "fibro" get set up with a chamber. She wanted to come over and take a look at my chamber first, and while here had an emotional meltdown describing her years of pain with no relief.
She called me a few months later to tell me she was "pain free"... :)
