Does potassium clavulate (sp?) in Augmentin make it a lot stronger than just taking amoxicillin?

Will I herx harder from it?

I have never taken a penicillin that i remember because i had a rash from it when i was little but my doc said most people outgrow it and it's very unlikely i am allergic.

maybe i should get a skin allergy test first..
or just take a half?

what do u guys think?

Augmentin is definitely stronger than Amoxicillin.

It might be possible to get a blood IgE test for Augmentin. There is one for Bactrim, but I don't know if there is one for Augmentin. If there is, your doc could order it, and it would tell you if you are truly allergic.
