so I have some great days, but not too many. most are good/ok days, but some are terrible days . the terrible days are terrible, of course, but.....
I usually feel so much better after 3-4pm. what is that?
but (again), last night I felt sicker after dinner and really bad when I finally went to bed, and all night, and woke up even worse, but around 3:30 today I started feeling about 75 % better. and by the time I feel more energetic and clear headed and less pain, I am almost ready for bed! it's just not fair!
I can't seem to figure out any rythm to what happens to me with this, but I am not discounting that it could be cyclical.
my typical sx list is rigthnow mostly due to mold in my house and body, iron storage issues, glutimate overload , and B12 deficiency.
that is what has been narrowed down for me. I don't feel lyme infected right now or other cos.
does anyone else feel better in the afternoon? and what makes this happen??????

In the Heal Your Gut summit, someone talked about digestion being done on the food the night before, and then we're ready to go again.
It could also be your circadian rhythm, whatever's left of it.
It could also be cortisol levels.
If you really wanted to explore it some, I suppose you could do some bloodtesting and other meaningful tests with your internist.

It's interesting. Since I contracted West Nile in '06 I am much better before 2 p.m. - more energy, stamina, etc.
Silver, on the other hand, has extreme difficulty in getting her body and organs to function before noon.
Often I will do the "shopping" chores in the late morning because I have the energy to make several stops. (Although when I get home it is time for a "rest"!)
If Silver and I want to get out and do stuff we try to make it around the 2 p.m. line so that we're both up and running.

hmm cortisol... I don't know anything about that! something new .... ugh...
I have been on adrenal stuff for at least a year. its more than fatigue. it feels like a terrible hang over or like I might just die soon or somethiing ... head/brain pain, and like my blood is sour inside. nausea. maybe some other sx I can't think of right now.
cortisol though... I will check into that now.

SO... im making TOO MUCH cortisol???
IF this is true could it be from taking my adrenal suppliment?? it is made from bovine source. can taking something like that over stimulate my adrenal like that? i don't know what I am talkig about with this since i know little about it but from just reading about it and cushings disease could it be possible?

As others have said, feeling better around 3-4 pm is likely related to adrenal fatigue and cortisol levels.
Our cortisol level should be higher in the morning and lower in the evening, but with adrenal fatigue, the opposite happens.
Our gut health is very important in healing adrenal fatigue and any chronic illness.
Leaky gut must be addressed and healed, along with any other related problems.

ME/CFS doctor, Paul Cheney, believes this phenomenon, often seen in ME/CFS, is due to the switch from the catabolic to the anabolic phase that everyone experiences during the day. Unfortunately for those with chronic illness involving fatigue the first half of the day (catabolic phase) adds more oxidative stress to an already overburdened system.
