Still researching ways to increase my VD3.

Am realizing - for so many years - I have spent so much time inside. My eyes so sensitive to the light.
That has probably contributed greatly to my VD3 deficiency.
Plus I am always so cold.
So - am thinking lamps.

One for VD3 and one for heat?
Sunlamp?
Near infrared?

I may not be tolerating VD3 drops topically....

I think I seriously need light/heat therapy.
I know nothing about this.
(I would need to wear some kind of goggles..)

Not all sunlamps are created equal. When I inquiried about this with my LLMD awhile back he said that most sunlamps are not of high enough intensity to really make a difference.

There's one made by Sperti for home use that operates on a timer and is supposed to emit high intensity UVB rays that can trigger vitamin D production. This lamp is also like over $400...

I went the route of Vitamin D liquid. And at lunchtime I try to get a dedicated 15 minutes of sun on arms and/or legs several times a week - obviously a little more challenging in wintertime [Wink]

Another option might be a safe tanning bed (one with electronic rather than magnetic ballasts to avoid unnecessary exposure to EMF fields). This would be a good way to get the UVB rays and stay warm.

Dr Mercola has a tanning bed made for vitamin D production. I used one when I was sick.

I also use vitamin D3 drops. Even thought I spend 30% of my time in Florida and get sun every day I'm here for an hour, I still need the drops to supplement. My fat digestion isn't good and that contributes to my low D levels.

Vit D3 oral, in oil, drops for baby. We used that for a decade, and always felt good.

Mercola says the best is through skin, through UV lights.

I stopped taking Vit D3 after I used my violet ray. It is not UV, but somehow, I feel good without Vit D supplementation (after supplementing it for a DECADE!!!).
