Hi <<<<< Lymenet Family >>>>>,
I am puzzled, I have MVP, but it is usually not severe. For awhile now,it has been bugging me.
I may be reading something,or just relaxing, and it will start cur-thudding quit hard and sudden, then gets extra fast,or that is how it feels.
We are under some stresses, but it more of the same.and it used to only act up,if I was trying to do to much for me. I am trying to figure out why it is acting up.
It is annoying to wake up w/ my heart doing this, or just be relaxing, whatever and suddenly... ker-thud cur-thud thud thud thud Thump thump thump.
I'm going to my PCP[non-LL] in about a week and a half, if it doesn't stop, will have to see what he says.
I keep up,with magnesium, Niacin and so on,as well as a somewhat modified Buhner protocol. I used to take Hawthorn after reading up on it. Have had to stop 'til after some of my dental issues are resolved.
Usually when it does this, my chest feels tight, which I don't like, and I have had to take more Sinus/Respiratory meds than I like. Because of unusual reactions, I keep them below regular amount listed as a dosage per my Doctors knowledge.
They are quite mild meds, and don't normally bother me. They also help the IC issues I have.A nice side effect. I don't think it is the meds, never had an issue with them at lowered dosage.
So I am puzzled, just stress? more Borrelia-Lyme-Slyme, the Bart'? The Babesia? My treatments are out of pocket, mostly supplements. We check carefully against any and all other meds.
Any tho'ts? Ideas? Has it happened to a lot of our LymeNet folk? I do see others on occasion wondering about our hearts and Lyme and Co's.
Thanks for any tho'ts and replies!

Sorry you're experiencing this, I can empathize. I have MVP too.
For me when my condition worsened it turned out to be hormone related. Adjusting my progesterone levels helped normalize things.
But Lyme and Bart and Mycoplasma does like to live in cardiac tissue. My LLMD and LL cardiologist both said that the inflammation from bacterial activity can result in MVP issues.
When MVP probs would come on, taking Motherwort and Chinese Skullcap really helped me.

Hi <<<<< Blymey' >>>>>,
Sorry to hear you go thru this too, wish we could find a good LLMD here in NV. We've not been able to find any here.
I'm not sure,if they've tested hormones in my recent blood tests, I think so. We'll find out toward the end of the month.
I kinda tho't that Lyme and Co's like heart tissue among other things.
Altho' I am a lady wolfi, I have a niece that had testosterone issues while pregnant. And a 'Foster daughter', that had such issues as well.
I see that you said progesterone, wow my brain is interpreting things oddly again.
It'll be interesting to see what is in my Neuro. blood work up.
Thanks for the herbal info' and the reply!
